Why Platinum?
The newly developed platinum bead which supersedes white polystyrene bead was introduced to comply with stringent new regulations by the Department of the Environment governing heat loss trough external walls. Platinum bead easily meets the required U value of .27 in the walls of newly constructed properties.
How are they installed ?
The beads, similar to what you would see in a beanbag, arrive by truck to your home. Our trained installers blow these beads trough pre-drilled small injection holes. As the beads pass trough the injection nozzle, they are coated with adhesive which allow the beads to flow easily before bonding together forming a solid Insulation mass within the cavity. Platinum bonded bead has a consistent density and unlike fibre products, cannot shrink or settle within the cavity. The system is totally safe to use in both new and existing houses, whether constructed with block or bricks and even in areas exposed to driving rain.
Certification
The CERTAINFILL Platinum bonded bead system is certified by both the British Board of Agrément and The Irish Agrément Board. There has never been a complaint reported to either the lAB or the B.B.A. regarding the use of bonded bead cavity fill insulation over the last 20 years. |
